Workshop Overview

Unlock a deeper, more intuitive approach to fine art photography in this intimate, one-day immersive workshop.

This is not specifically a technical “how-to” class. Instead, you’ll explore the artistic soul of photography—learning to harness your creativity, notice the nuances of light, and explore how music can profoundly shape your creative process and final images.

Whether you’re an experienced photographer looking to break through creative blocks or an artist ready to elevate your personal vision, this workshop will transform how you see, feel, and create.

What You’ll Experience

  • Harnessing Your Creativity: Practical exercises and guided discussions designed to quiet inner critics, spark fresh ideas, and develop a more authentic, personal photographic voice.

  • Understanding Light: Deep dive into light as an emotional and compositional force. Learn to read, shape, and sculpt natural and studio light to evoke mood, drama, and beauty in your images.

  • Music as Muse: Explore the powerful connection between music and visual creation. Scott will demonstrate (and you’ll experiment with) how curated soundscapes influence timing, emotion, movement, and the overall aesthetic of your shoot.

  • Live Studio Session: Put theory into immediate practice during a hands-on shoot with a professional fine art model. You’ll direct and photograph under Scott’s guidance in a fully equipped studio.

  • Feedback & Critique: Receive personalized feedback on your work throughout the day and during an optional follow-up image review session (virtual).

Workshop includes all studio fees, professional model fees, and a model release. No hidden costs.

Workshop Details

  • Format: One day (typically 10:00AM – 4:00PM, break for lunch)

  • Group Size: Strictly limited to 8 participants for maximum personal attention and an intimate, collaborative environment

  • Locations: Outdoor group sessions followed by a photoshoot at a professional photography studio (Bay Area / San Francisco Bay Area – exact address provided upon registration)

  • What to Bring: Your camera, an open heart, and a creative mindset. Journal or notepad recommended.
